Hey there friends and loving strangers, Rowan Newby here. It breaks my heart to have to say this but I'm calling on you for financial help in a very sensitive and painful time. My sweet, beloved and angelic mother Janet was diagnosed with non-hodgkin lymphoma just about two months ago, which for anyone who's unfamiliar is a blood cancer that specifically attacks the lymph nodes. Assuming her back pain was from lifting a heavy box, she eventually went to the doctor once the pain became utterly excruciating and they confirmed that indeed it was the "C word". 
 
The pain from this particular kind of cancer is second to none. Causing a loss of full mobility and nightmarish night sweats and overall 10 out of 10 full body pain. She's always been extremely healthy so this came as a shock despite her age. 
 
Despite having health insurance, the out of pocket costs including copays as well as additional expenses for pain medication and chemotherapy infusions have already begun to create a mountain of debt via some very limited credit cards. We've always been lower middle class at best when it comes to 'quality of living' but have made due and worked exceptionally hard so having to ask for help is a struggle in and of itself. 
 
We've set a modest goal to be honest and hope that we can exceed it. But truly any amount would be deeply appreciated and go a long way! I generally don't participate in online crowd funding but we need your help, so please consider donating and we'll be forever grateful.
