Support Jana and Bruster's Journey to Stability

Jana and Bruster have been displaced from the hurricane. We have been in a motel for over a week, and I am running out of money. I will be homeless if I don’t get money soon. I am asking for help.

My dog Bruster has PTSD from being assaulted by another dog. I have PTSD from being sexually assaulted by my father and his friends during childhood.

I am desperate. For the past two nights, I have been sleeping outside my house because my house is not fit to live in. It has roaches and ants everywhere, and I think I have seen a rat. Bruster refuses to go in, and I only go in to take a shower and other stuff.

Also, I was a school teacher in Montgomery County, Maryland, in 2016. The day after the election, I witnessed two of my students being sexually assaulted by a coworker. As a result, I was dismissed.

I became homeless because I was not old enough to receive a pension.

Although I receive a small pension and disability check, it’s still not enough to cover expenses.

The hurricane has made my PTSD a thousand times worse. I cannot continue to pay for a motel room.

I am asking for help. Any amount would be appreciated.
