Hello, I’m Jan, Ponchielli’s “HooMom.”

Late Tuesday night, my beloved cat, Ponchielli, required emergency surgery. He was diagnosed with a Critical Urinary Blockage under Emergency Care intake. 

This condition caused his bladder to be instantly full, and it was ready to burst at the time of admittance.

Ponchielli was unable to move, but also screaming with pain, and required immediate surgical intervention, or he would have passed away slowly and in his excruciating pain.

I'm doing everything I can to get him continued life saving treatment, accommodate several procedures, and extended hospital care.

These several urinary procedures will save Ponchielli’s life.

The aftercare he receives to prevent future blockages will require a special diet and medications.

I am dedicated to helping Ponchielli’s complete recovery, giving him the long life and love he deserves.

I would forever miss his silliness, instigator antics like answering the landline… that he thinks are helpful, and his neck hugs. I can’t wait for him to be well!

Prior to Ponchielli’s emergency, we suffered the terrible losses endured with a house fire making it impossible to cover the costs that come along with his urgent medical treatments.

Suddenly, I find I can’t afford to pay for Ponchielli’s care. So, I’m asking for your help.

On the veterinary estimate, there are two amounts, depending upon how many days treatment is required.

The funding goal will cover Ponchielli’s medical expenses and costs that come along after, giving him continued care and the veterinary support he needs during recovery.

UPDATE:

Ponchielli ended up staying a week and a half, with additional follow ups. He’s home now, receiving hugs and kisses. He lost five pounds and is frail, and is taking a month of meds, and eating a prescription diet.

Ponchielli got this far because of kind donations, but further steps can’t be taken without meeting Ponchielli’s goal. And, as you can see, hospital costs are far from satisfied. We appreciate any kind of support! No amount is too small…
