<div>As many of you know, I am a resident of Chicago &amp; social causes/justice is something that is near and dear to me. As such, <strong>I created this GoFundMe to raise funds for at-risk youth on Chicago’s south and west sides.</strong> Saving our Sons is the name of the program.  Over the past 6 years, I’ve had the privilege to work with Fr. Pfleger, Sr. Pastor of St. Sabina, and I have seen first hand his passions for social justice &amp; ending gun violence. Every time I meet with him and others associated with his church, I am moved beyond measure to do something, to help in any way I can. By giving, we can help them get SOS back up and running because the need is so great. Here’s a brief snapshot of Saving our Sons’ mission:

<div><strong><em>Saving our Sons</em></strong> is a male mentoring program that serves 30 males a year between the ages of 12-17. This mentoring program serves 15 males for six months per cohort. The ARK’s staff strategically recruits males in need of direction, guidance, support, and positive role models. Teens looking for a second chance or searching for a way to overcome situations at school, home, and in their neighborhood. SOS Mentoring connects youth to positive adult mentors, provides life skill discussions, one-on-one coaching, exposes them to cultural opportunities and field trips, and connects them to resources for summer internships and/or employment that will <strong>positively impact their future decisions.</strong>

<div>Every dollar helps! Every dollar raised will go directly to the program. All monies raised will be delivered directly to Fr. Mike Pfleger in the form of a check.
