On April 29, 2025, I took my son Jamario to the emergency room because one side of his face was swollen and painful. We thought it might be something minor—maybe an infection. But our lives changed forever the next day.
On April 30, after a whirlwind of tests, I was pulled aside and told words no parent ever wants to hear: “Your son has leukemia.”
We were in complete shock.
Since then, Jamario has bravely started chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments. We’re now nearly two months into this journey, and while he’s fighting with everything he has, the toll on his body—and on our family emotionally, mentally, and financially—has been heavy.
As parents, we want nothing more than to be right by his side every step of the way. But between hospital stays, appointments, and time away from work, the financial strain is growing. Medical bills and everyday household expenses are piling up, and this is just the beginning of what doctors say will be a 2.5-year treatment plan for Jamario.
With humbled hearts, we are reaching out to ask for two things:
First and foremost, please pray for Jamario. We believe in the power of prayer and know that God is the ultimate healer.
Secondly, if you feel led to give, any amount helps. Every donation will go directly toward Jamario’s medical care, travel to and from the hospital, and living expenses that will help us stay close to him during his treatments.
From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for your love, prayers, and support. Your generosity means more than words can say. Please share this page to help us spread the word.
