<div>Hi, my name is Jalisa, and I’m a proud mother of five amazing boys. I’ve always tried to be strong for them, but over the past couple of years my health has changed my life in ways I never imagined.

<div>In January 2022, shortly after giving birth to my youngest son, I was diagnosed with lupus. Since then, my health has been a constant battle. I’ve been in and out of the hospital every month since last October, each time facing something new and life-threatening. Recently, I was scheduled for open-heart surgery to remove fluid from around my heart, but when I went in, doctors discovered I had sepsis and kidney failure due to infection. Right now, I’m on strong antibiotics to fight the infection so I can safely undergo surgery.

<div>Because of my condition, I am fully disabled and unable to work. I receive a small monthly check, but it doesn’t even cover rent, let alone the bills and needs for me and my boys. I’ve fallen behind on rent my goal is to at least get that token care of and as much as I wish I could handle this on my own, I know I can’t do it without help.

<div><span>This is why I’m reaching out and setting aside my pride to ask for support. Any donation, big or small, will go toward keeping a roof over our heads, paying bills, and making sure my boys are taken care of while I fight to get better.</span><br />
