Support Jake & Emma's little Fishes

Friends and Family of Emma and Jake Fishback have organized a Fundraiser at Bourbon Street in Chicago on February 7th to assist with ongoing medical bills for their twins Brinn & Wren. For those who are unable to attend the event but would still like to contribute, we have set up this GoFundMe page for donations. Your support is greatly appreciated!

Jake and Emma have been blessed with 3 beautiful daughters, including their twin girls, Brinn and Wren, who have been diagnosed with different forms of Cerebral Palsy. We hope this fundraiser will provide the family with some much-needed relief as they manage the accumulating medical and therapy expenses.

THE STORY OF THE 2 FISHES

Both Wren and Brinn were born at 32 weeks premature due to a high-risk monoamniotic pregnancy. Monoamniotic pregnancies affect 8 out of 100,000 pregnancies, making it extremely rare due to complications.

Both girls were affected by a traumatic birth leading to brain injuries.

Wren was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegic Cerebral Palsy that causes muscle stiffness in the legs. She has hypertonia in her top half which means she has weaker muscles. Wren has gone through rehab and physical therapy for 2 years now, making progress every week. Because of her muscle tightness she requires AFO braces and a device to help when her legs get tired. Wren also receives Botox injections to help relax some of her muscles, making her range of motion a bit more flexible.

Brinn was diagnosed with Right Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy which means it only affects the right side of her body. Brinn also receives physical therapy and has had some intervention to help her including AFO bracing and serial casting.
