<div>Jacob Spaulding is a dedicated young volunteer first responder who bravely entered a dangerous lumbermill fire in Searsmont without hesitation. In the line of duty, Jacob suffered serious burns, and the unexpected turn of events has been devastating for his family and loved ones. Tragically, lives were lost in this fire. His girlfriend, Natalie, was present when the explosion occurred and witnessed Jacob emerge from the fire. She immediately drove him part way to the hospital, where they were met by an ambulance that rushed him the rest of the way. Jacob now faces a long and challenging road to recovery, but we are thankful that with time he will be ok.
