We are a group of Jacob*'s friends and family doing everything we can to support him against the injustice he and his boys are suffering. (*Name changed to protect identity).
We have now reached a pivotal point in Jacob’s battle to regain contact with his sons. This is now the time to consider giving as generously as you can.
The background
Over a year ago in January 2025, while preparing to leave an abusive marriage, Jacob became the target of repeated false criminal allegations of domestic abuse.
No charges have ever been brought, but he has lost all access to his two beloved sons, and has been forced to fight a series of legal battles in the family court to clear his name.
What impact has this had?
The boys have not seen or spoken to their father for more than 12 months, and are now known to be undergoing therapy due the fallout from this unjust separation.
Why is the next step essential?
We have now reached a decisive point in the proceedings - the Fact-Finding Hearing. This is Jacob’s first and only chance to let the plain truth speak for itself.
The evidence will be tested properly, and the court will make findings based on the evidence. These findings will form the basis for all future access and custody orders.
Jacob has incredibly strong evidence demonstrating that:
• He is innocent of all abuse allegations
• The roles of abuser and victim have been reversed
• The children were taken away as a means of punishing him for
attempting to leave the relationship.
Without a successful fact-finding outcome, meaningful contact between Jacob and his sons may be almost impossible, as will the return of the children to their home, and support network.
Why are we fundraising?
To make sure that Jacob’s evidence is given a fair hearing.
Jacob is currently self-represented. His ex-wife has legal aid (obtained fraudulently through misrepresenting herself as a victim of domestic abuse) and is represented by a solicitor and barrister. That means Jacob would be expected to face a professional barrister alone, and to prepare for cross-examination himself.
You don’t need to be a legal expert to see how unfair this is.
What will your donation fund?
We are raising £5400 to instruct a specialist family law barrister to represent Jacob to:
• skilfully present the evidence
• demonstrate the falsities
• maximise the chances of the truth being allowed to be heard
Every donation helps. If you can give, please do. If you can’t, sharing this page is genuinely valuable. If you have any questions, please contact Greg Cooper and Mark Graham, using the button at the bottom of this page.
Thank you for standing with Jacob and his boys.
