Into The Flesh is a new horror short written, directed, and produced by filmmaker Arii Grove.
THE STORY:
Anthony, a disenfranchised office worker, moonlights as a struggling artist. Fed up with the lack of power & control in his life, he has been searching the occult for answers. When he finds what he is looking for in The Damned Goddess Queen, she will deliver him power at a cost he does not yet understand.
Into The Flesh is a powerful exploration of the intricate power dynamics between men and women, highlighting the enduring imbalance even when men strive to abandon patriarchal practices. Through a magically-realistic narrative intertwining spirituality, the film underscores the necessity of usurping power from those who hold it, advocating for change through non-violent means. It aims to spark a crucial conversation about the persistent inequalities in our society and how little/or much we do to change that in our everyday lives.
Into The Flesh will shoot in Southern California at the end of March 2025.
