<div>*URGENT COMMUNITY ASK* CTUL is calling on our community to crowdfund to cover legal representation fees for Amadeo Casco Cabrera and Luis Fernando Gomez, two CTUL construction worker members who were detained by ICE early in the morning on June 12, 2025 outside their Burnsville apartment when they were leaving for work. These workers are currently being held at Sherburne County Jail in Elk River, MN. CTUL's social services advocate has secured a private practice intake with an immigration lawyer for these two workers that will take place on Thursday, July 24th at a cost of $200. After this intake we will have a better idea of the total cost of representation, and we expect it to be upwards of $5,000 each. What we have seen in the past few months at CTUL, during Trump's unprecedented expansion of ICE and deportation quotas, is that waiting for pro bono representation at this political moment will almost certainly result in the deportation of our community members. Please consider supporting these two workers today in securing their right to legal representation, and please share with your networks.

<div>*PETICIÓN URGENTE DE LA COMUNIDAD* CTUL hace un llamado a nuestra comunidad para que realice una recaudación de fondos colectiva para cubrir la representación legal de Amadeo Casco Cabrera y Luis Fernando Gómez, dos trabajadores de construcción de CTUL que fueron detenidos por ICE la madrugada del 12 de junio de 2025 afuera de su apartamento en Burnsville cuando salían para trabajar. Estos trabajadores se encuentran actualmente detenidos en la Cárcel del Condado de Sherburne en Elk River, Minnesota. El defensor de servicios sociales de CTUL ha conseguido una cita de práctica privada con un abogado de inmigración para estos dos trabajadores que se llevará a cabo el jueves 24 de julio a un costo de $200. Después de esta cita, tendremos una mejor idea del costo total de la representación, y esperamos que sea superior a $5,000 cada uno.
