Support Hunger Strikers for Yemen

The Yemeni Liberation Movement is a grassroots, volunteer-led organization working to mobilize our communities for an end to the Yemen war, and bring liberation and sovereignty to all of Yemen.

We are organizers from metro Detroit, working in a coalition with partner organizations; Just Foreign Policy , Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation , Friends Committee of National Legislation  and Yemeni Alliance Committee . We will be in DC on a hunger strike starting March 29 with one demand:

The US must end ALL support to the Saudi coalition's blockade on Yemen!

March 26th is the 6-year mark of the war in Yemen that has killed hundreds of thousands and displaced millions.

Since December 2020, the Saudi-UAE coalition and the United States has doubled down on a fuel blockade, causing mass starvation in Yemen.

The US and Saudi coalition claim that they aren't breaking any humanitarian war crimes because they are allowing food and other necessities to enter the country. However,  the fuel blockade has made it impossible for trucks to transport these essential items, that have been rotting for months.

This has caused mass, wide-spread famine, with UNICEF expecting as much as 400,000 children to starve to death within weeks or months. However, weeks and months have already passed and we believe many of them have already died.

Here's a CNN investigation detailing the unimaginable conditions for Yemenis who now call home, "hell on earth." The images in the video are graphic.

The YLM is taking a stand and need your support! Please consider donating to help hunger strikers fight against this genocide. We are raising funds to cover accommodations, transportation, medical costs including lab work and hospital visits, and other needs while we are in DC.

Any and ALL leftover funds will be donated to one of our coalition supporters, Yemen Relief and Reconstruction Foundation , a completely volunteer-run charity that distributes aid in even the most hardest to reach places in Yemen. Once our strike is over, we will donate the remaining balance through the YRRF site, and will provide confirmation from Dr. Aisha Jumaan. We have supported Dr. Aisha's work in the past with a former fundraising campaign to YRRF. We appreciate all their amazing contributions to Yemen.

Please also share our hunger strike action on your social media by checking us out on Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. Here's a linktree to all of our socials, statement, and more!
