They are a dedicated, disciplined, and deeply appreciated family within our community—admired for their kindness, solidarity, and strong commitment. <div>With deep sadness, I share the unexpected passing of Hugo Valderrama, a devoted husband, father, and beloved member of our Miyagi Ken community. Hugo tragically lost his life in a car accident in the early morning hours of Saturday, November 15, in Plantersville, TX.

<div>Hugo was the primary financial provider for his household. His sudden passing leaves his wife, Melisa Acurero, and their children, Paula and Andrés, facing not only immense emotional pain but also immediate and significant financial hardship.

<div>As a united community, we are coming together to support this family through the difficult weeks and months ahead.

<div>The funds raised will help the Valderrama family cover the immediate expenses that arise from such an unexpected loss. This includes essential household needs, living expenses for the coming months, and any urgent financial responsibilities Hugo handled as the primary provider.

<div>Our goal is to offer the family a measure of financial relief as they navigate their grief and work to restore stability. Our initial fundraising goal is $60,000, an amount that will give Melisa and her children a minimum level of security during this critical time.
