He is in stable condition and under great care at a hospital in Denver, but his road to recovery will take time and support from his loving community.

<div>Growing up in Durango, Colorado, Howard was raised in a booming cycling community that's home to a legendary youth development program, Durango Devo. Howard quickly became one of the fastest riders in the world, winning countless national titles, Cape Epic (in both 2018 and 2024), 3-time Leadville 100 MTB winner, and Olympian. Accolades aside, Howard simply loves riding and loves giving back to the sport by mentoring young riders in his community.
