Matthew Schatkowski is a bright and resilient young adult who has been facing the challenges of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. As a result, he is wheelchair-bound and requires daily assistance with basic tasks. Matthew lives at home with his loving parents, Rosie and Andie, who have been his primary caregivers and advocates throughout his journey. Their dedication has allowed Matthew to remain in a supportive and familiar environment, but the demands of his care have grown increasingly complex.

Recently, the family’s situation has become even more difficult. Matthew’s mom, who provides much of his care during long weekends, is now unable to do so due to her own health issues. This has placed additional strain on the family, both emotionally and financially, as they work to ensure Matthew receives the support he needs. The cost of nursing care and daily assistance is significant, and the family is struggling to keep up with these essential expenses.

By coming together to support Matthew, we can help provide the nursing care and daily help he needs to thrive at home. Every contribution will make a meaningful difference for Matthew and his family, allowing them to focus on his well-being during this challenging time.
