If you know her story, then you know her strength and how big her heart is. At the end of 2024, it was discovered that she didn’t have much feeling in both of her legs and feet. She did receive care from an Orthopedic Dr. who was very upfront about her images and treatment. After many images,Steroid Dose Packs,Aqua Therapy, bilateral bursitis injections, along with bilateral ultrasound-guided injections, it was determined that she needed to see a neurosurgeon. After 6 different opinions from ortho and neuro specialists, it was determined that the spinal tumor had grew and it is pressing against her spinal cord, causing issues with her walking, bending, sleeping, and dressing. But she still pushes herself every day to work and care for her loved ones.

Seven years ago, she beat Stage 4 Endometrial with two different chemotherapies. The tumor will be sent off for biopsy once removed, and we are also claiming for it to be benign as well. As her daughter,I’m asking that we all pull together and help make her recovery less stressful by raising money for her to be able to stay on top of her bills, food, and any other necessities. The neurosurgeon stated he can only give an estimated time of recovery until he is able to get inside of her spine and see exactly the damage it has caused. Precision is very important because if the tumor is shifted or grown 2  more inches by the time she goes into surgery Tuesday morning, it could lead to paralysis, incontinence of the bowel and bladder, and a number of other issues.

My Mama would never ask anyone to carry her through, but as her daughter, I feel as though after all the good she does for others, many of us could come together and help her through this very trying, scary time in life! I do ask that no one overwhelms her with questions and phone calls? as her anxiety is very elevated. The surgery, at minimum, will be 3 hours; if other things are found, it could be longer.
