UPDATE: More recent surgery completed to remove screws that were causing pain and impeding her leg , knee movement and her ongoing rehabilitation. While Cici is getting stronger everyday, and with the multitude of surgeries on both of her legs, she's beginning to have less pain especially due to the "hardware" her little body has had to get used to. Although it's still a struggle, she never complains and she's determined to feel like her "old self"! She's learning to trust her once natural ability in conjunction with the extensive hardware which was required to reconstruct thus enable her to walk again which is improving however still painful with movement in general. We take for granted that our bones, joints, muscles, etc will support, protect and enable us to simply walk. For her, this has been a very long journey. She's still rehabilitating however she's trying to work as the Drs allow and she can tolerate minimal hours (3-5 hrs/week so far and the family is doing their best to support her. Please consider donating anything you can as this young lady has so much potential and I believe without a doubt she WILL fully recover. It's been so heartbreaking just watching her struggles since that horrible day. Unfortunately bills continue stacking up and although she's determined to be able to work more each week, she's just not able. Your donations ARE A HUGE HELP to this ongoing cause!

RECAP: This lovely 20yr old local/Conch, Cierra "Cici was struck head on @ mm48 Marathon on 2/11 @ 9am, by a large truck while simply driving to work. Life flighted to a Miami trauma center with multiple critical injuries, she pulled through with the amazing lifesaving trauma care she received, the love of her family and all the prayers from our community and friends. She STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP! Desperate needs are funds with our help to cover her everyday expenses i.e., rent, food, utilities, etc.

All donations go directly to Mom, Dianna who has sacrificed her 10 year career and home life to stay by Cici & has been paramount to allocating these precious donations so Cici is able to remain in her home, gain back her health, strength and simply make it possible for her to focus on her recovery & continue to relearn to move about safely thus regaining her independence.
