<div>My name is Jehan AlHusaini, a Palestinian journalist from Gaza. I founded Haya Washington as a media nonprofit organization in 2017, however, since October 2023, the focus of Haya's work has shifted solely to provide aid to the people of Gaza.

<div>Thanks to the generous support of communities and partner organizations—including Bloom and Doctors Against Genocide—we have been able to provide hot meals, fresh bread, and clean water every day since December 2023. Despite immense challenges, including the heartbreaking loss of team members working on the ground in soup kitchens and documenting the devastating conditions, our commitment has never wavered. We have continued our efforts daily, driven by purpose and resilience.

<div>Our team is working tirelessly on the ground every day to prepare and distribute warm meals to families living in refugee camps, often in areas that other organizations are unable to reach. These families, at their most vulnerable, face a heightened risk of hunger and malnutrition.
