<div><strong>A young Morristown graduate with no criminal record was taken by ICE on his way to work. Now, his family and friends don’t even know where he is.</strong>

<div>On December 8, Harol Alvarado was taken into ICE custody on his way to work near East Hanover. Harol has always been described by those who know him, including his teachers, as someone who never fails to make others smile — a kind, hardworking, and genuine person.

<div>Harol graduated from Morristown High School in 2024. Since then, he has been working two jobs to support himself and help his family. He has no criminal record.
</div>

<div>Every dollar raised through this fundraiser has already helped cover Harol’s lawyer fees, and will continue to go directly toward his legal process and to help cover his bond.
</div>

<div>We, his friends and his cousin, have been doing everything possible to bring Harol back to Morristown — the place he calls home. However, this journey has been incredibly difficult.

<div>At Harol’s recent court hearing, his attorney was confident that Harol would be granted bond. Tragically, Harol did not appear in court — not because he refused to attend, but because ICE transferred him across three different states just five days before his hearing. These sudden transfers prevented him from being present and severely impacted his case.

<div>Harol has now been granted another court hearing, and we are holding onto hope that this time ICE will allow Harol to appear, as they are legally required to do. Everyone deserves the right to be present and to be heard.

<div>As of today, we still do not know where Harol is being held. ICE has refused to disclose his location and has severely limited his ability to communicate with both his family and his lawyer. This lack of transparency and constant movement has only made his legal process more complicated. We are deeply alarmed and concerned by the way ICE is handling Harol’s case and by the harm this is causing to him and his loved ones.
