My name is Hank, and I'm a queer disabled artist and non-binary person. Great news - I'm getting top surgery in November! Hurrah! However, while I am lucky to live in a place where my top surgery is covered by provincial health insurance, I am a low-income disabled person and could use some financial support during recovery.

As most of you know, I have been living with a brain injury since 2019. Over the past few years, I've been able to start up an art business, primarily selling at local markets. My surgery is scheduled for November 7, which means that I’ll be unable to work holiday markets or take on holiday commissions this year. My art business is a critical part of my income, and holiday markets typically provide me with crucial support for the first few months of winter.

Your support will help cover any additional costs related to surgery, as well as any post-recovery medical needs, like physiotherapy. Most importantly, it will ease the financial strain of being unable to work this holiday season and help make my recovery stress-free.
