<div>Hello everyone. I’m making this GoFundMe for my best buddy Hailey. <strong>2 weeks ago she was unexpectedly diagnosed with APL Leukemia</strong> and it has completely turned her life upside down in the blink of an eye, it seems. APL Leukemia is a rare form of acute myeloid leukemia that affects early-stage white blood cells. It is characterized by an overproduction of immature cells in the bone marrow, which prevents normal blood cell production. She has now been in the hospital since I took her to the emergency room on June 1st and still has another two weeks there before she can be released for outpatient treatment. <strong>As you could probably imagine, those hospital bills are going to add up fast, on top of the outpatient treatment.</strong> I’m setting this up in hopes of raising money to help with the expenses insurance won’t cover and to help cover other bills and expenses for her. I really would love to help relieve the stress of finances for her so she can just heal and take care of herself.

<div>Hailey started barbering at the shop I work at almost 3 years ago and has become my best friend. She is one of the most caring, thoughtful, and loving people I’ve ever met. At Empyre Barbers, we truly are a family, and Hailey has been a very important part of that family. Not only is she a talented barber, but the care she has for each one of her clients is admirable. We all care so much about her and want to do anything we can to help relieve the stress medical bills can cause.
