**Help Our Students Experience Art & History in New York!**
As a 10th and 12th grade history teacher at Humanitas Academy of Arts and Technology (HAAT) at Esteban E. Torres High School in East Los Angeles, I’ve seen the incredible potential of our students. Our school is a close-knit community that prides itself on offering unique opportunities for growth and learning, especially for those who have often been overlooked.
This spring break, we are excited to be sending 15 of our senior students to New York City, thanks to a generous grant. This trip will immerse them in the rich art and history of our nation, from the Statue of Liberty to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum. For many of these students, this will be the first time they leave Los Angeles, and it’s an experience that will help shape their futures in profound ways.
However, we are facing a shortfall of $1,355 to make this trip possible. With this money, we’ll be able to cover travel expenses, museum admissions, and food for the students during their stay. These students have worked hard to get to this point, and your support will make all the difference in ensuring that they get the full experience.
Your donation will help us:
- Provide transportation to and from New York
- Cover the cost of museum and historical site entry fees
- Ensure that each student has access to meals while on the trip
This trip is more than just a spring break getaway—it’s a chance for our students to walk through the pages of history, connect with their cultural roots, and gain confidence as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives. By helping us meet our goal, you’re not just sending students to New York; you’re investing in their future success.
Thank you for supporting our students, and for helping us make art and history come alive for the next generation of leaders!
