Gus came to us in May of 2024 as a foster. His original family was unable to care for him while in treatment. Gus was around 13 at that time and was going to have to go to a shelter. We decided to foster him for a few months which turned into a year.
unfortunately, Gus stopped eating and started to lose weight. He was also breathing very heavily. We took him to Noah’s ark where we were told his abdomen was full of fluid, likely from cancer or kidney disease. The vet told us he was likely in pain, unable to fully take a breath due to the fluid.
we made the tough decision to euthanize sweet Gus. We hugged him and gave him lots of kisses and pets in his final hours.
all donations will go to pay back the care credit card my grandma allowed us to use.
i know times are tough, anything helps, thank you.
