<div>Our beloved Griffen has been gestating a tiny human, and is due to give birth any day now!! We are calling on our collective communities to show up and support Griffen and this little one!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>New baby time is expensive! We are raising $10,000 for a 6 week full parental leave + slow transition back to work, and other expenses, including:
</div>
<div>~ Rent, bills, etc.
</div>
<div>~ Home birthing costs
</div>
<div>~ Childcare
</div>
<div>~ Postpartum &amp; newborn support
</div>
<div>~ Baby supplies
</div>
<div>~ Medical expenses not covered by insurance
</div>
<div>~ Unexpected and essential costs
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>A birth is a wonderous community event: a time when folks come together to help out and share in the challenges &amp; joys of new life. Griffen will be solo parenting and does not have support or access to wealth from bio-family/family of origin. He is self-employed, so he doesn’t have paid parental leave. The first months of a baby’s life are a time when support is crucial, the needs are intense, and community support is profoundly impactful. Let’s chip in to help Griffen and baby feel deeply resourced by community.

</div>
<div>If you are lucky enough to be in relationship or community with Griffen, then you have undoubtedly been a receiver of his heart work and generously deep presence. This moment is your chance to show gratitude for him, and support him as he begins the wild adventure that is parenthood in the most grounded way possible. He has held us in so many profound ways - let’s help hold him!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>In addition to the GoFundMe, there are other ways to contribute to Griffen and the baby in this moment:
</div>
<div>~ For people in Mni Sota Makoce (MN), if you can offer in-person support, let us know <a href="https://forms.gle/zduHpetBCmvnnCWj6" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>here</strong></a>.
</div>
<div>~ Whether you’re near or far you can plug into the <a href="https://mealtrain.com/5zdkww" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Meal Train here</strong></a>.
</div>
<div>~ There are some things that only money can buy, so any contribution is helpful/valuable! In addition to this fundraising pot, you can also give by purchasing some of these essential items on <a href="https://www.babylist.com/list/griffen-jeffries" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>the baby registry</strong></a>!
</div>
<div>~ If you prefer to send money by <strong>venmo or paypal</strong>, please send to @Griffen-Jeffries on venmo or reach out to us for the paypal email. Be sure to mark it as a GIFT.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Griffen also wants to invite you to choose an age and share a blessing/intent/love note in the form of a word or sentence, that he will share with the babe that year, and each year after, on their birthday. Griffen will also be sharing a compilation of these out with everyone who contributes so they can be collective love notes for all of us. <a href="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1vgF9xhL2jrWNIrFQl4PPDT1rSoGH1BPw8Am7MZjfr7g/edit" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Please offer your notes here</strong></a>!
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>It can feel so complicated to make asks amidst these times, amidst so much need–and collectively we believe and envision the possibility of a world where everyone's needs are met.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Love,
</div>
<div>Roggie, Lex, Cody, &amp; Avi Rose
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>P.S. Just a reminder that people of many different genders can be pregnant! It's always welcome for you to remind people when it comes up in conversation that it’s not just women who gestate and birth babies!
