<div>After undergoing surgery last year to remove lung cancer from his right lung, Greg is now facing another difficult battle as a mass in his left lung has doubled in size in recent months. <strong>At the same time, his vehicle is no longer running and requires major repairs — transportation he urgently needs for ongoing treatment at the John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis. </strong>He is also facing mounting medical, dental and future moving expenses.

<div>Greg proudly served as a Machinist Mate Nuclear Power Third Class aboard the USS Nimitz from 1975–1981. Beyond his military service, he has spent more than 25 years generously giving back to the Alton community — photographing local events, fundraisers, and festivals, often at no cost. In 1995 &amp; 2023, he was honored by local organizations as Volunteer of the Year.
