<div>Lewis &amp; Deedee here. We are faced with a tragic and urgent need for our 4 year old dachshund, Gracie. Gracie hurt her back yesterday afternoon and has lost the ability to use her back legs. She has a herniated disc and will need surgery soon to have the best chance of a full recovery (24-48 hours after the injury) to avoid being paralyzed . The surgery center has quoted the minimum cost of surgery is $7,000.00 and maximum is $8,000.00. The minimum has to be paid up front before they will do the surgery. Sounds cold, but it is the industry standard.
