<li>As you already know, Jamaica was recently devastated by Hurricane Melissa, a category 5 hurricane. I am raising funds to help the people in the village where I grew up. The Government of Jamaica, the Red Cross and other organizations are seeking funds from the diaspora and international agencies, but these funds are not likely to reach the deep rural villages like James Hill in Clarendon, Central Jamaica for some time. The funds you provide me will be distributed fairly to the village people who are most impacted by Melissa to help them purchase zinc for roofing, food, clothes and bedding.
