In Uganda today, thousands of young girls are growing up without access to education, proper shelter, food, or healthcare. These children face unimaginable challenges, but their dreams remain big: to study, to grow, and to one day contribute positively to society.
At Girls Initiative for Economic Empowerment Foundation (GIEE), we are working every day to change this reality.
Who We Are
GIEEF is a registered NGO solely set up to provide opportunities and support for enhancing the education of female children in Uganda.
We currently:
✅ Support over 15,000 girls from different parts of the country through educational and empowerment programs.
✅ Directly care for 120 children, providing them with food, shelter, healthcare, and school fees.
Our belief is simple: Every girl deserves the chance to make a difference in her life and in the world.

Our Urgent Needs
Food Security
Right now, we face a severe shortage of food.
Our daily food cost is $150.
That amounts to $4,500 per month.
Without immediate support, we cannot continue feeding the 120 children under our direct care.
Healthcare
Most of the girls lack access to essential healthcare services. We need support to provide:
Medical supplies & equipment
Volunteer healthcare professionals
Emergency care & preventive health programs

Education
Education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Yet, many of our girls risk dropping out due to lack of school fees and materials.
School fees and supplies for 120 children cost $36,000 per term (3 months).
This equals $108,000 per year.

Building a Safe Home
We provide a safe haven for girls in need — but our current facilities are limited and overcrowded.
We urgently need to build a new home to accommodate 120 children, providing a safe, nurturing, and loving environment.
