It took me a while to be ready to write this post. To be honest, I'm still not ready. I will never be. My sweet little Giovanni lost his battle. The seizure was too much for his little body to recover from.

I'm devastated and at a loss for words. It feels surreal .

Status update below:

For all those that helped and continued to support, the expenses for Giovanni's first 12 hours in the ER were $2,242.60. We were able to collect $330 via go fund me and $250 from private direct donations. Thank you so much for supporting. Any further donations will also be used to cover this baby's expenses.

The goal has also been updated to closely reflect Giovanni's hospital bills so far.

Update:

The second Er doctor recommended humane euthanasia because Giovanni showed no signs of recovery. I asked them to let me take him to his vet. While removing the fluid tubes and monitors, Giovanni lifted his head and turned it and put his legs down, which up to that point, he wasn't moving at all. I thought I did see signs of improvement, even though the ER docs claimed it was another seizure. So I took him to his vet, who had experience in these and other emergency cases. While in the car with the sun shining on his face, Giovanni finally had enough peace to sleep. I could hear him snoring. No more whimpers or crying.

Please help Giovanni. This poor, precious baby is only 10 months old. Thursday, October 10th, at 1 a.m., Giovanni had a seizure. He was rushed to the emergency vet hospital. On the way to the hospital, his little body went limp. They have done extensive testing and still haven't found a cause. Each night in the hospital is approximately $5,300. If you can help, please do. This precious baby deserves a happy, long life. He is a smart, sweet, happy baby who was full of life and energy just the day before.
