On a Sunday morning that began like any other, Gerry and his family’s lives changed in an instant. Gerry was involved in a serious car accident when another driver ran a red light. His wife, Shannon, arrived at the scene just minutes after it happened, with their children in the car, and the shock of seeing Gerry’s truck surrounded by first responders is something the family will never forget. They are deeply grateful that Gerry is okay—lives cannot be replaced, and they know how fortunate they are. Their hearts also go out to the elderly passengers and the Uber driver involved, and they ask for continued prayers for everyone affected.

Gerry is the manager of campus safety and works part time on his off days as an RSO for Okeechobee Shooting Center. He is always giving, genuine, and known for his smile even in the face of adversity. Now, as he faces follow-up medical appointments, time away from his part time second job as an RSO at Okeechobee Shooting Center, and the challenge of replacing his vehicle, his family and friends want to rally around him. The funds raised will help cover medical expenses, lost wages from his part time second job, and other urgent needs as they navigate this difficult time.
