This post is incredibly difficult to write but after some prayer and consideration, we feel it is the right time to share our story. 
 
 
 In February, our lives changed in a way we never could have imagined. Gary was diagnosed with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). As you may be aware, ALS is a progressive disease that slowly takes away the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. There is currently no cure. Hearing those words was devastating and extremely scary—and in many ways, it still feels unreal. 
 
 
 If you know Gary, you know this: his spirit is strong. He is staying positive, his witty personality is still shining through, and he is fighting every single day—for me and Ava Grace. 
 
 
 Since that day, everything has shifted. Our time, our priorities, and the way we look at each day. What hasn’t changed is our determination to fight for him in every way we can. We are pursuing and exploring every possible treatment option through regenerative medicine and holding tightly to hope. Unfortunately, insurance does not cover these treatments. 
 
 
 As many of you know, this journey also brings a heavy financial burden—treatments, therapies, medical care, and the support that will be needed in the months ahead. Because of this, we are starting this fundraiser to help support Gary and our family through what lies ahead.
