Martin is raising this fundraiser for Gabi and Gonzalo, a couple who built their life here and became close friends with Martin and his wife, Lucy. Martin first met Gabi when Gabi was his children’s nanny, and through that connection they grew close. Gabi later introduced them to Gonzalo, and over time they became good friends with both of them. Gabi and Gonzalo have worked hard, contributed, and supported the community around them. Now they are facing an incredibly painful and frightening situation: they were detained by I.C.E. and are being forcefully deported back to Argentina. This has taken a huge emotional toll on both of them and on the people who care about them. 
 
 
 The funds raised will help cover legal fees, travel expenses, and the difficult transition of helping Gabi and Gonzalo settle in Argentina after being forced to leave the life they created here. They are not just case numbers. They are people with dreams, responsibilities, and loved ones who depend on them. Martin is asking for help to support them through this heartbreaking moment and to show them that they are not alone. Any donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
