I am the founder of Fuzzy Fawn Wildlife. I am a home-based nonprofit rehabilitation facility that specializes in whitetail deer. My primary rescues are fawns. I take in over 100 fawns every summer.
Since moving to my larger facility, I have rescued four horses, two with bad legs. The mud this winter has made it very hard for them to get around with their leg issues. Every year before fawn season begins in May, I need to fix winter damage. This year I am looking to raise $35,000 for several repairs, new expenses, and equipment. I would like to get all the mud out of the horse pasture where the horses spend the majority of their time and make it a dry lot. All my gravel paths need new gravel, both fawn enclosures need attention, and I need to reseed the fawn pasture. Right now, I buy my hay/straw every month, which costs more for delivery each time, so I would like to raise enough for a year’s worth—a one-time delivery fee to save money in the long run. I would love to buy a used tractor because right now I pay someone to do a lot of my work; it would save me money if I had my own.
Most importantly, being a nonprofit and using the money you graciously donate, I do my best to make it last and use it for the most important things I need. I don’t like to waste money paying someone else if I had the means to do it myself.
Thank you, everyone, for your support and generosity. Instagram is my main account for everyday interactions and information.
