Support fund - Steve Nichols family

All,

Sometime last Sunday, a relaxing day of fishing with a friend turned tragic and a dear employee of Harper was lost doing something he truly enjoyed.  Steve Nichols was a 48-year-old dedicated employee as well as a father and grandfather.

Steve was hired a little over a year ago with Harper as a Journeyman after many years in the industry.  He had become an integral part of the Fab Shop team and could be counted on to always complete the tasks he was given.Steve was the employee that always showed up early to work.  He was always staying busy and looked for other things to do around the shop to stay productive.  Whether it was to clean up the work areas, lend assistance to load a truck, or just be there as an intelligent and friendly employee and person.
Steve was nicknamed “Scuba Steve” by his peers.   The story goes like this and that he was the guy that would be “nominated” to get into all this small tight spaces to get the job done.   Working inside and around the shop and as hard as he did, when Steve emerged he would be drenched in sweat…hence the tag “Scuba”

Steve was the type of person that Harper strives to find and will truly be missed.

We have set up a Go-Fund-Me account to help his family get through this difficult time.  Please take some time to consider contributing and supporting his family.
