The Port Colborne Senior Centre is about to celebrate 60 years of service to our city. As a result of the Covid19 epidemic the centre has been closed. The closure has resulted in a loss of revenues required to maintain the building and surrounding property. As a result it is now in the position of the hard reality that not being able to return to full activity shortly could make it financially unfeasible to reopen. The loss of programs such as Tax Clinics, Foot Clinics, Seniors Drivers tests , Financial workshops and over 20 different activities and workshops would be devastating to our community.
We are trying to raise enough to cover three or four months of operating expenses so as to ensure their financial survival.
I know it is a hard time right now to be asking for help but if you can contribute to maintaining this vital resource it will benefit all of Port Colborne.
