Dear family, friends and sympathetic supporters,

In 2019, whilst serving as a missionary, I received the dreaded phone call that my dad, Fredell Moonasingh had been taken to hospital in Jamaica due to some chest pains which were later determined to have been caused by four major blockages of his arteries and was in need of a heart bypass procedure.

Thankfully he was able to have the procedure done and adopted changes in his lifestyle in order to stay healthy hoping this would be the end of the problems. Unfortunately this was not the case as last year (2024), the chest pain came back worse and dad needed to undergo another round of surgeries to the tune of $32000. The hospital in Jamaica is demanding urgent payment of this bill.

My dad is a retired 75 year old family man who worked his entire life to give us the opportunities he never had growing up. He lives with my mom in Jamaica, having been married for 50 years. Dad is now the oldest living person in our family line, is well loved, kind and caring towards everyone. Dad will do little things like bringing food from his garden for others who have little to eat. Though not so much full of life anymore, he still tries to be the first one to help and support others.

My brothers and I are doing all we can to support my parents but are struggling with meeting this mountain and are seeking any support you might help. As you can imagine, it has not been an easy situation for me to see my dad in this circumstance and not being able to solve the problem myself and I truly appreciate any and all help towards my dad who means the world to me.
