<div><strong>Zafar and Guillermo were tragically kidnapped and murdered in Mexico while working to make their home safer for Zafar’s mother.</strong> We are so grateful for everyone who worked tirelessly to try to bring them home alive. Their loss is unimaginable. Their families are grieving while also navigating the complex realities that follow such a tragedy.

<div>As Zafar’s immediate family, we are now focused on bringing him home with dignity, surrounding his mother with the love, support, and resources that she needs, and ensuring our family is positioned to navigate the legal, logistical, and emotional challenges ahead.

<div>Zafar and Guillermo were joyful, warm, exuberant, caring people whose lives touched so many so deeply. They built their lives around care, loyalty, and connection. They were the kind of people who dropped everything for others.
