Support for Uncle Gav (aka Schooner)

The Ryan family, together with their extended families, seek assistance for the support of Gavin Ryan.
Gavin Ryan is a 64 year old Australian citizen and Vietnam Veteran. Gavin suffered a stroke and is currently in a rural hospital, 450kms from Bangkok, Thailand. Gav remains in a critical condition, having developed pneumonia and an infection.
Communication between the hospital and his family is limited. Gav's mother, Isla Ryan (Marna), who we all love, is beside herself with worry about Gav's condition.
We have set up this page to seek assistance to help the family cover Gav's medical expenses and treatment while in Thailand. Ultimately, our wish is for Gav to be well enough to return to Australia for proper medical treatment and ongoing care.
The family has contributed and Gav's partner, Lin, has sold all items of value to go towards his medical treatment however, his medical expenses continue to grow and without proper medical treatment and care his condition will, no doubt, deteriorate.
We appreciate this is a big ask of family, friends and people we may not have ever met however, it only takes a small amount from many to really make a difference!
