Emily Barker was one of those people who immediately lit up a room. She was quick witted and delivered dad jokes just at the right moment. She was a good one. One that would do absolutely anything for you, no questions asked. She loved her job, her friends and her family. 
 
Late on Saturday, June 27, Lisa Karczewski, Nick Barker, and their families received a phone call that would change their lives forever. They experienced a heartbreaking loss—Emily passed away a hero fighting wildfires in Colorado. This tragedy has left them grieving and added stress to an already difficult situation. 
 
Donations to this fundraiser will support Lisa, Nick, and their families during this difficult time. By easing these financial burdens, supporters can give them the space to focus on remembering their sister and celebrating her bravery. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in their ability to be present for each other and their family.
