On Friday, December 5th, our lives changed in an instant when my husband was involved in a serious car accident. He is now facing a long recovery and will be out of work for some time. Because he is so new at his job, his compensation is limited, and I have also lost wages as I stay by his side and care for our children. The timing couldn’t be harder, with Christmas just around the corner and our family’s main source of income suddenly gone.
