Support for the Whitehorn family

Never in a million years would we have ever anticipated posting a page on this website for our own family.
The Whitehorn's lives were turned upside down at the end of April when Lee had a seizure at home and was rushed to hospital. The seizures were a sign of irritability in his brain, and it soon became evident that it was caused by an advanced stage cancerous brain tumour (glioblastoma).
Unfortunately the tumour is embedded deep in Lee's brain which makes it inoperable. Lee's medical team have advised that the tumour is incurable, but he will undergo chemo and radiotherapy treatments to hold off its progression for as long as possible.
Due to the extent of his current condition and medical treatment plan, Lee is unable to work. Laura has exhausted her paid leave allowance over the last few weeks and will work reduced hours in the future to support Lee with his medical appointments and keep their household running. Their beautiful little boys, Max (3yo) and Jack (1yo) will continue at childcare for some normality, and spend as much time with their dad as possible.
Funds raised here aim to help the Whitehorn family stay afloat while Lee fights this brain cancer. Everyone who knows Lee absolutely loves and adores him for his kind, generous and fun-loving nature. He's the most wonderful dad to Max and Jack, and husband to Laura. Lee would never ask for help, but it's time for us all to rally around and help him and his family through this courageous battle they are facing.
