<div>As many of you may already know, Coach Alexandr “Sasha” Kirsanov tragically passed away following the accident involving American Airlines flight 5342.
</div>

<div>In his many years with Ice World, Sasha coached, mentored, and made such an incredible impact not only on our young skaters but also on so many who knew and loved him. His absence will be felt deeply, along with the loss of so many others, with so much promise and life to live, from our ice skating community.
</div>

<div>Sasha is survived by his wife, Natalya Gudin, another well-loved skating coach, and their 18 year old daughter Nicole.
</div>

<div>We also tragically lost John Boyd, a father whose son plays for the Southern Maryland Sabres Youth Hockey club out of Capital Clubhouse in Waldorf, Maryland.
</div>

<div>The pain and grief for these families left behind is immeasurable, and we are deeply sorry for their loss. We extend our love and support to Natalya, the Boyd family and all those who are suddenly left without these precious souls.
