With heavy hearts, we come together as a community to support the Strozyk family after the unimaginable loss of their beloved daughter, Eleanor Grace.

Eleanor was a healthy, joyful baby who brought endless love and light into the lives of her family. In just 15 months, she made a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.

On the early morning of Tuesday, March 10, the Strozyk family’s lives were suddenly and forever changed when Eleanor began experiencing seizures. She was rushed to Fairview Hospital, where she was cared for in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. In hopes of providing the highest level of care, Eleanor was later transferred to the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus PICU, where she courageously fought for an entire week. While her medical team was eventually able to stop the seizures, the injury to her brain was too severe for her body to overcome. Surrounded by love, prayer, and compassionate care, Eleanor passed peacefully on March 17.

In the midst of this profound loss, Eleanor’s life became an extraordinary witness of love and selflessness. Through organ donation, she gave the gift of life to other children. During a moving honor walk, surrounded by those who cared for her, Eleanor’s final act was one of incredible generosity, ensuring that her light continues to shine in the lives of others.

As parents, it is impossible not to feel the weight of this story. It speaks to every heart. The deep love we have for our children, the fragility of life, and the strength it takes to endure such heartbreak. No family should have to walk this road alone.
