Update: 2/4/25
Cara’s tracheostomy surgery went very well last Saturday and she’s already begun some physical and occupational therapy today. While her recovery process will still be ongoing her doctors are very pleased with how far she’s come already. Please continue to keep Cara in your thoughts and prayers.
On January 17th, 2025, Cara was admitted to Piedmont University Hospital for shortness of breath and flu. It was later discovered she also had pneumonia, and on January 19th, she was put on a ventilator and began dialysis treatment due to kidney failure. It has been a long and difficult process, but Cara has come a long way since then and no longer needs dialysis or antibiotics.
As of January 31st, Cara will be receiving a tracheotomy soon and will be admitted to a specialty hospital that will provide her the care and help she needs to rebuild her strength. She has a long recovery road ahead with physical and occupational therapy to gain back the strength to breathe on her own as soon as possible.
All donations made will go towards Cara’s medical bills and care as we support our Mom/Wife in her recovery.
