Support for The Lay Family

Logan Lay has brain cancer. Over the past 12 years she has undergone 300+ chemotherapy treatments. Through it all The Lay Family has remained hopeful and determined. Their motto is very fittingly #rollwithit. Their outlook on life, love and family is truly inspirational.

Logan's mother, Jen, shares their journey and the really tough feelings that come along with childhood cancer in her raw and real blog titled Life all over the map (www.lifealloverthemap.com). It is through this blog and Logan's brave and kind spirit that The Lay Family has inspired our community.

They have reminded us of many of life's most valuable lessons: focus on what is important, seize the day, love the people who love you, and be courageous enough to show your vulnerability.

Unfortunately, over the past few weeks Logan's condition has taken one turn after another for the worse.  Her family and her medical team are working very hard to ensure that she receives the best of care, but in the meantime Logan is left nauseous and in pain.

Up until this point, despite many offers, the family has declined a fundraiser in their name.  But, now, they have realized that their burdens are starting to weigh them down.  They accept your generosity with so much love and gratitude.  And, having known them personally, I can assure you that when they are able, they will pay it all forward.

All funds generated through this campaign will be used at the discretion of the family.  Your generosity may be used to fund:

- Getting Logan the best possible care: whether that be alternative treatments, or in-home nurses, or anything else that improves her well-being.

- Allowing for Jared to take time away from his job to focus on his family.

- Supporting the extra costs that come alongside illness: medical equipment, gas bills, eating out when away from home, etc. 

- Squeezing in a bucket list item such as travel to a warm destination or taking part in a local concert.

We cannot cure Logan but we can certainly improve her and her family's quality of life.
