Support for the Solitro Family

On April 24, we were all stunned and heartbroken by the tragic loss of our dear friend Rick Solitro, a loving father and husband, son, brother, uncle and true friend. His dedication to his family and friends was unmatched. He shined the brightest in any setting and he was so loved by everyone in his life.


Rick was able to be all these things to everyone while suffering intensely with mental illness. While his dedication to his family was steadfast, his inner fight was worsening. He was tragically shot after a months long mental break. Unfortunately, after many attempts Rick was unable to get help due to the lack of mental health resources and the laws surrounding this topic.


While we are all trying to process this senseless loss, our hearts are with his three children. He was an amazing father! The thought of his heartbroken wife Ali, his biggest supporter, having to tell his children their father has passed is unbearable. It is something no one should ever have to do.  


Rick unfortunately did not have life insurance.  Ali is now a single mother working two jobs. We are asking for help to allow Ali, his children, and family to have the funeral Rick deserves. Any remaining proceeds will be given evenly to his children as well as a donation to Ocean State Counseling & Wellness.
