Support for the David Melder Family

Sunday, March 4th, David was admitted into the hospital with chest pains. After numerous tests, it was determined that David has Stage IV Intrahepatic Cholangio Carcinoma (liver bile duct cancer). With little symptoms being shown, it has metastasized to his lungs. At this point, David will be sent to LSU Hospital in Baton Rouge to seek any treatment possible. The family is hopeful to find a research facility that will accept David and offer treatment as soon as possible. This is a very rare and aggressive cancer. David works full-time to support his wife and two children however, he will no longer be able to work with his illness. His wife is a stay at home provider for their 9 year old disabled daughter.  It is our goal to be able to provide some normalcy for this family. We would like to earn the funds to help support their financial and medical needs so that this family can focus on their time with David and his treatment. This family has been blindsided with this diagnosis and the fear of the unknown to come in the future. David is their backbone and any help is greatly appreciated.
