Defeat Diabetes is an organization raising awareness for those affected by Type 1 Diabetes. In 2022, cofounders Cristina and Jalen Nesbitt created a basketball team to compete in the TBT, a nationally broadcasted basketball tournament on ESPN, to bring together a group of individuals to fight to a common cause - T1D.

Cristina (who has had T1D for over 15 years) Jalen and Alex King (a T1D warrior and part of the coaching staff) are raising funds to help support this year's bid in the 2025 TBT competition.
