Support Steve's battle with cancer

Donation protected
Our friend, brother, son, husband, and first time dad-to-be, Steve Kauk, has been diagnosed with stage 4 terminal colon cancer, which has spread largely to the liver. 2 weeks ago, Steve, a 34 year old 911 dispatcher in Muskoka, and owner of Advanced Home Technologies, was excited about welcoming his new baby into the world. His wife, Amy Bartley-Kauk, a public school teacher, is due on July 16, 2017. Their world was suddenly turned upside down when Steve went to the ER with what he thought was a minor case of abdominal pain. What was once the happiest time of their lives, is now a living nightmare and a daily struggle for survival. Despite the grim prognosis for Steve, the Kauks remain optimistic and are channelling what energy they have left towards Steve's fight of a lifetime. Chemotherapy is set to begin the week of July 3rd.
This Go Fund Me account has been set up in hopes to alleviate some of the financial stress the Kauk's will experience in the near future. During such an emotional time, as they face a terminal diagnosis and welcome their baby into the world, the Kauk family is going to need the community to rally together for support.
Please donate to help cover the increased costs of medical, travel, and caregiving. Help Steve, Amy, and their baby-to-be with the fight of a lifetime. Please donate, anything helps and is much appreciated.
