<div>Τις τελευταίες μέρες, οι πυρκαγιές έκαψαν ολόκληρες περιοχές της επαρχίας Λεμεσού. Κάηκε το 1,3% του νησιού και δύο άνθρωποι έχασαν τη ζωή τους. Μία από τις κοινότητες που επλήγησαν περισσότερο είναι το Σούνι-Ζανατζιά. Οικογένειες έχασαν τα σπίτια τους, η γη τους κάηκε και η καθημερινότητά τους άλλαξε από τη μια στιγμή στην άλλη.

<div>Άνθρωποι από όλη την Κύπρο στάθηκαν δίπλα τους με ανθρωπιά και ενότητα: βοήθησαν στην κατάσβεση, άνοιξαν τα σπίτια τους για να φιλοξενήσουν όσους εκτοπίστηκαν και πρόσφεραν ρούχα, φαγητό και άλλα απαραίτητα. Μικρές και μεγάλες επιχειρήσεις προσέφεραν ό,τι μπορούσαν.

<div>Ακολουθώντας το παράδειγμα τους, και μεις που είμαστε μακριά νιώθουμε την ανάγκη να βοηθήσουμε όσο πιο άμεσα γίνεται! Γι’ αυτόν τον λόγο επικοινωνήσαμε με το Κοινοτικό Συμβούλιο Σουνίου-Ζανατζιάς και κάθε ευρώ που θα συγκεντρωθεί εδώ θα σταλεί απευθείας για τη στήριξη των κατοίκων, για να ξαναχτίσουν τα χωριά τους!

<div>In the past few days, fires have swept through entire areas of the Limassol district. 1.3% of the island is now burned, and two people lost their lives. One of the hardest-hit communities is Souni-Zanatzia. Families lost their homes, their land was burned, and their everyday lives were turned upside down.

<div>People from all over Cyprus stood by their side with compassion and unity, assisting in putting out the fires, opening their homes to host those displaced, and donating clothes, food, and other essentials. Small businesses and large companies offered whatever they could.

<div>I know that many of us who are far away also feel the need to help in the most direct way possible. That’s why we reached out to the Community Council of Souni-Zanatzia, and every euro raised here will go straight to support the people there as they begin rebuilding their villages.
